Consultancy approach
The desired bonus model, in other words a success- and performance-bases remuneration system, is intended to act as a counterbalance to the continuous increases under collective bargaining agreements in the metal industry. In addition the personnel costs in general needed to be scrutinised due to the economic crisis.
Results
The bonus model served as the basis for further improvements. In addition the decision was taken to introduce short-time working, wage and salary increases were suspended in 2009, payroll accounting was outsourced (through the partial retirement of the present member of staff), the reimbursement of travel expenses was modified and asset-forming services were converted.

Consultancy approach
In order to make it possible to control the company better, the managers and staff need to be given a central “thread” by means of clear guidelines on organisation and processes, along with regular and transparent communication, all supported by consistent, focused management behaviour. The objective of the project is the creation of a production planning system and associated key ratios. In addition the deadline planning in the tool shop needs to be optimised.
